Here’s what you can expect when visiting the Ottawa Adventist Church.
Saturday mornings
Once you arrive, our hospitality greeters will warmly welcome you and help you find your way around. As you walk around the church, you will notice people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, experiences and ages make this church their home. You will be warmly welcomed by our church family.
Sabbath School classes begin for all ages at 9:30 a.m. After the opening program, adults, young adults (college), youth (14-18), earliteens (age 12-14), and juniors (age 10-12) separate into their respective classes to share what they learned from that week’s lesson study and how it has made a difference in their lives. Classes for children (age 0-9) begin immediately at 9:30 a.m. in the church’s lower hall.
As you enter the sanctuary at 10:50 a.m. for the corporate worship service, you will encounter a warm friendly atmosphere. You will also be more blessed than you came as you experience uplighting music and a Bible-based sermon designed to help you see God more clearly and to provide you with strength to live as a Christian during the week. Nursing mothers and parents with toddlers will find a mother’s room to the right of the foyer where they can watch the worship service and take care of their kids’ needs at the same time.
Following the worship service, stop by the Visitor Green Room (off the main foyer) for some refreshments and a friendly conversation. Thereafter, you are invited to the lower hall to make new acquaintances and reconnect with old friends over a fellowship meal.
In the Week
On Sunday mornings you will find members donating their time to serve the community with ministries like Touch of Love.
Wednesday nights members gather to have their spiritual batteries recharged during a powerful prayer service that includes times for praise, group prayer, and a Spirit-filled devotional. Prayer meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in-person on the first Wednesday of the month and on Zoom throughout the balance of the month. Children’s Prayer Meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom. It is a fun and engaging session designed just for kids! Bring the whole family—whether you’re joining in person or virtually, we can’t wait to share this inspiring time with you!
Every third Friday of the month, the church family gathers on Zoom to welcome the Sabbath together. Invite a friend and come experience spiritual connection, fellowship, and heartwarming worship.
