The Ottawa Seventh-day Adventist Church joyfully concluded the Pentecost 2025 “Strengthening the Foundations” fall revival and evangelistic series during the second weekend in October, with moving baptism celebrations on Friday and Saturday evenings. During the Divine Service on Sabbath, October 11, series speaker Pastor Winston Cooke delivered a heartfelt sermon on God’s love for the world; the worship experience closed with Communion. The final evening session at 7:00 p.m. brought the series to a close with Pastor Cooke’s message “Trouble Out of this World.” Every sermon throughout the series was delivered with clarity, conviction, and compassion, calling us to rebuild, renew, and re-center our lives on Christ, the Solid Rock.
We give thanks for the beautiful ministry of singing evangelist Shamie Louis whose uplifting songs enriched each gathering and helped draw hearts in worship. We celebrate and give thanks for each person baptized during the series, recognizing the courage and faith it took to publicly commit their lives to Christ. Their decisions strengthen our church, encourage fellow believers, and bring fresh hope to our community. We also praise God for those who indicated they are planning to be baptized soon and invite the whole church family to continue walking alongside the newly baptized as they grow in Christ.
If you missed any sessions, visit our church YouTube channel to view the replay of the series, and join us in gratitude for the spiritual renewal experienced during Pentecost 2025.
